I checked in earlier today when I saw ThePrimeagen was trying out Devin. This was the exact moment I came into the stream and immediately knew he was having a great time!

Absolutely this. The speed in which you can develop in Python is one of its greatest strengths. Combine that with the best third-party libraries and you're set. If something needs speed, drop that down into Rust or even C.

If you’re a baker who’s three years into your career: quit now. there is not a single job in baking anymore. it’s over. this field won’t exist in 1.5 years.

uvx, by Astral, is so nice in situations like these. Wanted to check the current connection speed on my homelab system, so logged into cockpit on my phone and brought up the terminal. From there, just use uvx to (very) quickly install and run the speed test.

When I'm interviewing a candidate, their GitHub is the MOST important thing for me. Consistency is great to see in an activity graph. But also have at least one project you're actively working on. Bonus for interacting with an established project/community!
