The MMHSAA announced that our Girls Division has adopted Flag Football as a varsity sport and will begin play in March of 2026, with the first games expected at the end of March. 9 schools will begin play next spring with an eight game schedule, along with playoffs.

So many great storylines to follow this Section VI football season, this may be my fav: With so much returning talent, Ty Harper could step into his first year at Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton Eagles and lead the Eagles to a Sectional title at least. They are stacked at almost every position.

Honestly, Class C is so top-heavy this year. It looks to be a potential slug fest in November between Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton Eagles, Medina Mustangs, and EdenAthletics. Sprinkle in the chance of Salamanca Warriors Football, AldenBulldogFootball, or Herd Football going on a run, and Class C is stacked.
