Was a fantastic day at the FA Cup Final the other week, incredibly lucky to be there 🙌🏻

The England FA receive a large amount of criticism. some harsh, some fair, such is the way of anyone or anything tasked with the running of a sport. Ten years ago the FA released their DNA vision. Gareth Southgate sat at the side of Dan Ashworth as it was unveiled to the public.

Anything less appealing than a team sitting in a low block in modern football? Honestly get why teams do it tactically, but it puts me to sleep 😴

Has anybody on here in the refereeing grassroots world ever abandoned a game before? Had to do it this morning for the first time and 5 hours on even after doing my match report and feeling like I did the correct things, it’s still eating me alive 😪 #referee #grassrootsfootball

Not my best game of refereeing this morning. Felt I was strong when needed to be and confident at times. However my placement of where I moved on the pitch could be better which could have stopped some issues that arose from it. However the abuse some gave was unacceptable 👎🏻

First time iv smashed in 3 games in the middle in one day and my god do I feel it! Thankfully all 3 were mostly incident free, no cards given out, however the cold wind and rain made the day feel so much longer 😂💨🌧️⚽️

A fantastic first full year of refereeing now over with! 78 games done, a county cup final, a local leagues final, and 3 tournaments to end the season with, culminating with meeting Emile Heskey! Time to push on and see what happens next season, after a deserved break 🟨🟥⚽️
