In 2008, tipping points were considered likely only if global warming exceeded 5ยฐC. Since then, evidence has emerged that tipping points may be exceeded even between 1 and 2ยฐC (we're at 1.2ยฐC). Another reassessment is now underway. It suggests the threshold is closer to 1ยฐC. ๐งต
