I mean ffs, this bloke was telling us it was okay to go to the footy last weekend. Are they putting their messages through a blender first for maximum mix? #ScottyFromMarketing

Probably the most frustrating thing about ScoMo’s presser is that clearly some places (eg NSW/Vic) will have much stricter rules than what he read out. So in our largest states, his list of closures is actually *incorrect*. This is a messaging debacle.

Reading local community FB pages, parents are so confused on the school situation, basically reading ScoMos announcement as it is up to us. Many ,because of the confusion, pulling their kids out. A clusterfk.

This has been by far the worst day for working people in Australia for generations. Just shocking. People have been laid off or stood down all over the place. We need UK style wage subsidies now! #coronavirusaustralia

How hopeless was the PM tonight. You should stay at home unless shopping for essentials. Then in the next breath encouraging Australians to go to shopping centres and shop for non essentials.

Govt: Just follow the information. Don’t panic. Also govt: All info will be given at 10pm in the form of angry riddles, tune in to see if you have a job tomorrow bitch

A couple of things are obvious tonight. 1. The tension between trying not to crash the economy and the health strictures is stretching to breaking point. 2. The national cabinet has to stop making decisions late at night to give governments a chance to communicate key messages.

Maybe, after the debacle of the PM’s address tonight, the media could focus their attention on him & his government & stop wagging their finger at people not social distancing adequately outside Centrelink, and maybe even stop taking pictures of the toilet paper aisle at Woolies

I spoke #boardgames this afternoon with Jacinta Parsons on ABC Melbourne - We talked about games like Dungeons and Dragons (not really a boardgame, I know), Disney Villainous (play as the villain not the hero), Uno, Qwirkle, Escape Room games like the Exit and Unlock series,

People are anxious enough without confusing, conflicting messages that are changing every single day. We need clear, simple advice that every Australian can understand and follow.
