Here's one for you CrossCountry Rail Users Group - the 06:45 Reading - Newcastle as usual was started from Birmingham New Street due to a 'shortage of train drivers'. It gets better - the first northbound XC service isn't til 08:15!

The RMT legally have to give a minimum of 14 days notice to the company, which they complied with. They announced the strike dates publicly on the 7th of August. CrossCountry confirmed the effect on services on the 18th. ^CC

CrossCountry Rail Users Group Campaign for the Peak Line Sheffield is the world's end as far as any government is concerned. Only city in England without no electric services, a lousy TPE service to Manchester, Stocksbridge put out to grass. Although Brigg as a daily return service, our friends The Independent Brigg Line Rail Group (Est 2012) will understand the sarcasm
