Wrapping up this years CoTS (Acanthaster) spawning SeaSim Australian Institute of Marine Science with Dr K-le Gomez and team with some icing on the cake: As a world first we spawned CoTS we produced in the lab 3 years ago and thus closed the lifecycle and produced F2 larvae. Will we get them to settle?

First paper from my PhD is now out 🥳 🪸 Thanks to everyone involved - Iva Popovic Katharine Prata John Pandolfi @CRiginos doi.org/10.1111/eva.13…

Our paper is out in PLOS Genetics! We show that outbreaking crown-of-thorns sea stars have unexpectedly high mutation rates, similar to mammals and other low Ne species. A true interdisciplinary effort with @CRiginos Lucie A Bergeron Sven Uthicke @gwoerhe t.ly/hoAGm

Excited to share that my 2021 honours research is finally out in coral reefs: 10.1007/s00338-024-02496-7. My first time leading a publication with support of the wonderful Iva Popovic Sven Uthicke @CRiginos. Echinoderms are cool and eDNA can be a useful monitoring tool for plankton!

Evolutionary biologists and Australasian Evolution Society - please see this exciting postdoc opportunity to work on coral adaptation with our team at AIMS careers.aims.gov.au/page.php?pageI…

📢 Excited to finally release our new tool ReefAdapt.org - making genomic information more accessible for #marinerestoration. Out now Communications Biology nature.com/articles/s4200… UWA Oceans Institute UWA Research Flinders University
