A lot. 1. Zero rate taxes on electric cars 2. Stockpile fuel when it is cheap. 3. Nationalise Tullow oil and build a modular refinery 4. Reduces the ksh100 of taxes on fuel. And that is just off the top of my head. And am not an expert in oil.

I want Kenya to get here. Chukua Kura. Or make sure your information is up to date. The exercise ends in less that two weeks. Remember to register where you live.

It is actually a crime under Kenyan law for public officers to give false/misleading information. We have been told a bunch of open lies about the fuel situation with Ruto himself, as recently as 30th March, telling us his β€œstrategic interventions”had β€œmitigated price increases”

Shell which had a glaring shortage of fuel before the massive price hike has suddenly discovered fuel in its reserves and is selling again.

"It's never that serious". It is. Cut off people who support this government because a failing system affects a lot more than you think. Including that social life of yours. Start creating consequence for people's choices because you're not spared the consequences of theirs.

Kenyans have no more belts to tighten. The belts have been taken as increased living costs for wearing clothes at all.

Do not celebrate this trap. This is a highly calculated psychological and legal setup. Under Section 6 of the VAT Act, the CS can only alter the tax rate by a maximum of 25% via a legal notice. That means they can only legally drop it to 12% without a Parliamentary vote.

If I was the PM, I would have suggested that Safaricom OneApp leave the beta channel for a wider release ALONGSIDE the regular app for people to test and see. Once the bugs get ironed out, then the other is sunsetted. I feel there is a cycle in the PM cycle that they jumped

You need to refine your SDLC Your product is too big for you to be shipping major changes willy-nilly. A good first step could be creating a dedicated QA team with very strict verification protocols for every update to avoid shipping sub-standard patches/updates

What I think Safaricom should do now with the OneApp situation is to return the old app first, fix the OneApp in the next quarter without any pressure and release the OneApp in Q3 so July 2026 after all bugs are squashed. You can't mess with your biggest business unit

When we ask why taxes are soo high, we are compared to UK and Singapore. When we ask why our debt is so high, they talk about Japan and their gdp to debt ratio. But healthcare? Infrastructure? Education? Quality of life? Suddenly, we are comparable to Uganda and Tanzania

When they tax us they compare us to London. When it is time for development and fighting corruption and wastage suddenly we are being compared to Uganda
