Vlahovic! What’s ironic about this goal is it perfectly demonstrates the best of what Dusan can offer yet hasn’t been able to display in so long. Can’t believe I’m saying it, but what a terrific first touch. x.com/RowenaPilk5503…

Consider it an early test passed. Even with an avoidable red putting us a man down before the second goal. Bremer's presence obviously an enormous boost in these moments when a lead must eb protected, but nice to see we were able to close the game with offense.

Yildiz with 2 assists to open the campaign. Take the training wheels off the bandwagon. Don't limit expectations. Just let it ride. He's a star in the making and there's no reason not to expect him to continue being the driving force of this team going forward. ⭐️

Nico Paz has the ability to be a player who can define Serie A's mercato next summer. I'm aware Madrid retains control of his future, but he's on the sort of ascension that could make him the most coveted young player the top clubs will be chasing this season.

Vlahovic's goal is a snapshot of why the club should be careful not to gift him to a rival club on the cheap. I know some (foolishly) want to portray him as a talentless burden, but when he's firing and his mentality is adjusted, he's capable of being a devastating scorer.

It's obviously early, but Joao Mario appears to be an upgrade at RB/RWB. Not that it's saying much considering what we fielded last year, but I think the indignant Alberto Costa crowd wasn't exactly open to the possibility that Mario could hold down that position for us.

Perhaps zio Comolli has one or two gifts left in this mercato. Offloading an out-of-favour Nico and replacing him with Zhegrova would be tremendous work. Confirming Kolo Muani would solidify a very strong summer, but the Vlahovic situation must be clarified properly.

I'll clarify everything by saying it's early, of course, but Koopmeiners had a solid start to the campaign. Can easily argue our movement improved when he entered the match. I expect a lot from him, and I think we'll see the real Teun come forward this season.

Tudor was sound in his season debut, too. His tactical adjustments and subs produced 3 points in a match where we stagnated at times vs. an opponent trying to grind the game down. Igor has some options to play with now and used them functionally.

Yildiz is a guarantee in 1v1s; created the passing lane with ease and delivered the right ball. David is a well-rounded finisher, but he's going to score a handful of poacher's goals like this thanks to his off-ball movement skills. This is a fun duo.

Djaló is one of a couple players you can just be certain Juve won't exit the summer window with. Giuntoli took a flyer on a young, decent player coming off a major injury. Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't. It doesn't need to be more than that.

The club clearly values Cambiaso as a core member of the squad. A lot will be expected of him this season, and while he hasn't yet *fully* grown into his large role within the squad he's shown he can be a key piece when top of his game. Important season ahead for Andrea.

Inconvenient Truth (@itruth98) 's Twitter Profile Photo

In a bizarre turn, maybe it's a good thing we'll (likely) see Kostic earn a start on the left flank before the end of the window. Not that I'd expect it to change much if he were to underwhelm, but it'd at least offer something to think about. Hopefully he can do a job.

Kelly is probably doomed at Juve, considering he has a near-terminal case of "we sold Huijsen and bought him for similar money." But looking beyond that undeniable truth - difficult as it may be - he's not been awful. Is he good enough, however? Eh. We'll see if he grows.

Inconvenient Truth (@itruth98) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I feel confident Juve will get a deal done for Kolo Muani before the mercato ends - PSG has no reason to hold him hostage for a season. But if Vlahovic does stay, instead, it's not the worst situation to have a motivated player with much to prove. Bad business, though, no doubt.

Inconvenient Truth (@itruth98) 's Twitter Profile Photo

You hope your player keeps his cool even when provoked, but it's glossed over far too quickly how dangerous it is when players consistently fly into challenges with a foot or knee out intentionally. There's playing physical and then there's this. Silly.

Not a fan of the idea of selling Savona. He's not quite a core piece, long term, but at 22 he has a lot of room for improvement and has already shown some legitimate competency as a defender. Whether as a defensive RB or a CB in a back 3, he provides useful cover, too.

In some ways, it feels like Locatelli has taken the place of Danilo as being disliked by a loud minority of the fan base for no logical reason. Seems, daily, you read about him being a "kiss the badge" player, as if that's a bad thing. Loca is quickly becoming underappreciated.
