A little late with this post (finals season…) but I wanted to thank every single person who contributed to #HCWvsHunger 2024 by donating, spreading the word, participating in our silly challenges, or in any other capacity. YOU are what makes this contest so special! ❤️

THE RESULTS ARE IN! 🍎 3rd place: #BladesNBougiesPEEPS with $83,402 👏 2nd place: #DiagnoseAndTreats with $241,594 👏 1st place: #KidVengers with $263,209 👏 Congratulations to our 3rd-time contest winner, #KidVengers, and thank you to everyone who contributed this year!

It’s tiiiiiime!!! The final results of the 2024 #HCWvsHunger competition have been confirmed & certified! Most exciting: #MedTwitter & supporters have raised a total of $3,155,425 to fight #FoodInsecurity since the first annual competition in 12/20! cc Tatiana Prowell, MD Shematologist, MD

Many doubted this event could succeed at a time many in #MedTwitter had disengaged or deactivated accts. Well, #HCWvsHunger raised $70K more in ‘24 than in ‘23, despite a shorter competition & the exodus from the platform on which the competition had depended. Strong work. 💪 /2

In second place, with a total of $241,594 is the multidiscisplinary #cancer care team: #DiagnoseAndTreats Amazing work, #OncTwitter, #RadOnc, #Radiology, #PathTwitter, #Oncoalert #HCWvsHunger #MedTwitter /4

And the winner of the 2024 #HCWvsHunger competition, with a total of $263,209 is: #KIDVENGERS!!!!! This is their third win in five years! They are also the only unmerged team ever to have won! And they’re very very very nice people! The #Pediatrics ground game is unmatched! /5

The entire #HCWvsHunger leaderboard is incredible, a total of 22 #MedTwitter teams, each of which raised more than $1000 to fight #FoodInsecurity! We are SO proud of your determination, hustle, & growth & so full of #gratitude for you all! /6

And finally, thank you for believing in & cheering on our all-volunteer team of 3 doctors & 5 high school & college students! You make our wild dream of using social media for social good a reality. Cheerleaders rule! 🙏 And now we rest, #HCWvsHunger. But one last thing… /9
