Baptism represents two realities, a death unto sin and a new birth unto righteousness. It takes us from one state to another, one door is shut, and another opened the old Adam is drowned and the new is established in us, we literally put on Christ.

"It has been often reckoned among the things that were wanting, that we had not a full and clear explanation of the Thirty nine Articles, which are the sum of our doctrine, and the confession of our faith." - Bishop Gilbert of Sarum, An exposition of the Thirty Nine Articles

Check 1: Become a Roman Catholic Check 2: Create twitter account so as to show those silly protestants they're wrong Check 3: Make a disingenuous post equivocating new age non denom rock concert with above average mass rarely found in your local Roman Parish

What our darling, polite, and intelligent Roman brothers need to understand is this: Evangelicals are to (true) Protestants what Novus Ordo Catholics are to Tridentine Catholics. Do people group us together? Yes. Do we share some views? Yes. Are we the same? Absolutely not!

Romebros 🇻🇦 please stop making the Blessed Virgin cry with your social media behavior and unrepentant sin. Being ugly on social media and making amusement for other ugly people won't fix your problems. Go to confession, fast, pray your offices, and read the scriptures.

People ask, "Why be an Anglican?" And there are a lot of good reasons, but it is in those days when you just don't have the words to pray that the daily office carries you to Jesus to find the hope we don't deserve; the peace we haven't earned.

Service reminder for the slopmonger Roman/Byzantine apologists—there are but three Protestant traditions: ✠ Anglican ✠ Lutheran ✠ Reformed We are the heritage of the 16th Century Protestant Reformation—not the Revivalist Sects of the 2nd Great Awakening.

For those interested in learning more about the UEC, networking, discussing candidacy for Holy Orders, or getting a local Mission going, you are welcome to come visit with us during our annual Convocation two weeks from now. We're making it into a men's retreat weekend as well!

Archbishop William Laud did nothing wrong. If he had been the villain—as he has been so slandered to be—then he would have never been murdered at the hands of such self-serving, impious, and impotent men.

I think this is true of the vast majority of pop apologetic armchair theologians whether it be Jay Dyer or Cameron Riecker.
