Thank you Cancer Research UK for inviting us to perform at your event this afternoon in Bury Cathedral. You inspired all of the students and it was a fitting end to our busy festive season. Happy Christmas everyone.

Two fab events over the last few weeks with OIs and current music students. Great fun performing last night in Trianon’s winter concert with current students and OIs. Plus a wonderful carol concert and social with some Old Ipswichian Club chapel choir members just before christmas.

Ipswich school Senior Chapel Choir members were delighted to be part of the ‘Minster Making’ concert on Friday night. A wonderful concert - and so many Old Ipswichian Club either taking part or watching. Thank you Ipswich Minster for inviting us to take part.

An absolute delight today to welcome back composer and musician Sebastian Black Old Ipswichian Club He spoke with some of our musicians about his work as a composer before setting them their own composition task.

Congratulations to Maisie for winning the Leach Cup for most outstanding beginner at our beginner’s music competition heat last night. Well done to all who took part and thank you to Mrs Kathryn Parry for sharing her wisdom and enthusiasm during the adjudication.

A wonderful two weeks listening to 151 entries in our annual music competition. Congratulations to Ed our overall winner seen here with his singing teacher Mr E-W. Well done to all who took part!

When 200+ young musicians come together, magic happens. Yesterday was a day of music, passion, and pure Ipswich School talent, with 4 orchestras, 4 choirs, concertos, big band, massed brass, and fanfares lighting up the stage. What an unforgettable celebration!
