The second module of the 2022 Waterberg Leadership Collaboration Training Program kicked off this morning in the Waterberg District. The sessions are presented by dynamic facilitator, Khosi Jiyane of The Human Edge

The module focuses on Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue. Participants reflected on behaviors that impede results in teams, organizations & interpersonal relationships. The training assists to identify the crucial conversations towards achieving success in these areas.

A productive second day of the Waterberg Leadership Training Program, presented by The Human Edge. Participants engaged in small group exercises discussing how to identify when safety for healthy dialogue is at risk and how to restore it towards having crucial conversations.

It is with great sadness that the ITI board announces the passing of our college and friend, former cabinet minister and ambassador, Geoffrey Doidge, who passed on 10 December 2022, following his battle with cancer. Our deepest condolences go out to Carol and their four children.

Ambassador Doidge has served as a member of ITI’s board of Directors since March 2020. ITI has been privileged to have worked with him on several initiatives both locally in South Africa and abroad, through his continued passion to promote Transitional Justice.

Commissioners from the Central African Republic's truth and justice commission are undergoing capacity support training in research and investigation supported by ITI. Today, SA legal experts Howard Varney and Adv. JJ Du Toit, briefed the commissioners.

Last Friday, CCWA CEO, Carina Van Vliet, had the incredible privilege of moderating a conversation at The City Club of CLE about difficult societal transitions with Mohammed Bhabha and Roelf Meyer who helped lead the democratic transition process in South Africa in 1990-1994.

Last week a group of students visited The City Club of CLE They heard from South African politicians, Roelf Meyer and Mohammed Bhabha. The two politicians are world renowned for their crucial efforts in South Africa's transition to democracy from an apartheid state. #learnforlife

A tribute by Roelf Meyer to Malcolm Ferguson who sadly passed away in a motor vehicle accident in Limpopo on 10 March 2023.

Malcolm Ferguson set an extraordinary example after his retirement from public duty. He became deeply aware of the need for empowering emerging farmers and thoroughly engaged in practical ways to open opportunities for new farmers.

Malcolm first joined an initiative to consult broadly with commercial farmers to ensure their involvement. This led to the establishment of AGDA as a private member organization consisting of all major agricultural institutions and individuals. He was a founding member of AGDA.

He further participated in the development of the Agency’s work by launching several projects in its name. It was indeed on the return from field work with one of these projects in Limpopo when the accident that claimed his life occurred.

Malcolm made so many friends and fans with the commitment and dedication he showed during the last six years in this particular area. The messages received from around the country after the tragic news of his death confirmed the admiration and love people had for him.
