I flunked out of college with a 1.9 GPA my first year, appealed to be readmitted, and paid for 1.5 years of undergrad completely out of my own pocket. Took me longer than the βtypicalβ 4 years to graduate. Now iβm a PhD candidate at a top tier university. STEM is for everyone π¨π½βπ¬

this is actually fucking wild. U.S. National Science Foundation needs to make sure this reviewer is never allowed to review applications again.

This aryne got PHOX-y with its regioselective difunctionalization! Congrats to Alex Umanzor Nick Garcia and @CortnieRoberts for demonstrating ligand-controlled aryne complex synthesis and difunctionalization! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acβ¦

Check out our further explorations of the effects of f-block metal identity on electronic structure & catalysis, out now in Inorganic Chemistry ! Congrats to the team Nick Garcia Tori Tafuri & Rana!! pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10β¦

Team Phen had a ton of fun on our newest paper out now in ACS Catalysis, using a combo of kinetics & data science to study the mechanism & origins of selectivity in a Pd-cat. aryne annulation! Congrats team!! π Erin Plasek Brylon Denman Courtney Roberts pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10β¦
