Day 2: I am irrationally fond of what happens to compositional layering during metamorphism. Here we see a reversal in relative grain size due to metamorphism: fine-grained mudstone became coarse garnet-mica schist whereas boring sandstone just recrystallised #100DaysofGeoscience
