I am told that Floyd is a political intellectual but the problem is he is arrogant, lacks people skills and has zero charisma. The creation of his own political party is his political grave. He failed to understand that being intellectually smart does not make one a leader.

Floyd hated young people. He wanted to be seen as the only intellectual in the organisation. The EFF has a plethora of smart and talented young people and the reason why you are seeing them is because he is gone..

While I think we have a general tendency to over emphasize individual politicians, I think in the case of Shivambu - his departure from the EFF was fortuitous. It created space for younger, better politicians to emerge, and the EFF saw a notable improvement in Parliament.

Specifically in relation to the budget, the EFF was far more effective with Shivambu gone.

The strategy is simple discredit Julius Malema as much as you can so that people doubt him and that's European playbook to deal with their enemy. It looks like the graduation in London came with lot of conditions.
