Last year we had a work experience S come over from our high school and help with reshelving. She loved being around young kids and worked hard. I was so excited today when the high school T let me know she has another S she thinks will thrive in the job this year as well!

Y’all, I am so excited to be a teacher librarian next week and not a full-time iPad tech. We’re working on our last grade level to update, log in, and distribute. So. Close. 🙄

Lauren, we’re so excited for our home state of Kansas to be featured in your upcoming book! I can’t wait to share this with our readers as we develop our own storytelling skills in library classes this year. 🌟

Dot Day celebrations begin! In 2nd grade this year, we're reading Ish and making buddy dots: 1. Color a dot 2. Cut it in half, cut one half into quarters 3. Trade quarters with two classmates 4. Glue all pieces back together to make your buddy dot Great idea from Matthew C. Winner !

3rd graders read Press Here while imagining how they might add additional pages to the book. We brainstormed action words, made planning pages, then final copies. The finished books will go in the library as part of our student author section. Also from Matthew C. Winner !

1st graders read Mix It Up for Dot Day and made shrinky dink dots. They look so good hanging in our library window! Carolyn Vibbert this was your great idea, right?

As I prepare to write a new list of challenges to address in our library this year I was very encouraged to take down this list that I wrote at the beginning last year. We’ve made so much progress! 🎉
