Today on National Police Memorial Day, we remember all fallen officers and their families. Our love and condolences are with all of you.

The O’Rourke Award is the highest honor a Labor Council member can achieve. Deputy Sheriff Craig Law, of Sangamon County Sheriff's Office, is our newest O'Rourke Award recipient, who was chosen to receive this award for his great dedication, loyalty, leadership, and friendship.

Today we honor all of the men and women who courageously gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country. "Thank you" isn't even enough, but we are incredibly grateful.

June is Men's Mental Health Month, which we are proud to show our support for! Our members' mental health matters to us (for men AND women!), so we want to encourage all of you to take time this month for yourself.

We are so proud of the members we represent. Last week, Cook County Sheriff's Office sent their Housing Assistance Resource Program to unhoused encampments throughout the county. They offered rides to cooling centers and cold water when it was really needed by their community.
