Today's IPCC report is grim reading - but the call from the UN Secretary General could not be clearer: No new coal. No new gas. Net Zero by 2035.

I'm guessing the irony of setting a "48 hour deadline" for the Greens to support a blatantly bad climate policy *directly* after the IPCC issued another warning about the urgency of climate action has 100% whizzed passed the Australian government.

Fed Labor has approved 3 new coal mines in 2 months, incl. a thermal coal mine. 2 years ago the experts said if we wanted any chance of avoiding catastrophic global heating than we had to stop approving new coal mines. Labor are acting like climate change doesn't exist.
