There are multiple Marvel characters that do this, have done this, and they aren’t obscure characters.

Trust me if I thought and felt the use of legacy was important or detrimental to Marvel I’d be talking about it too. Right now the franchise is still at a relative but a lot of their characters are also in a relative limbo which is being ignored by the larger fandom.
