Sweet. Thanks Devin Guillory for laying out some AI-specific structural issues. Well worth the read. For the broader CV community, this quote is apt: "One of the most impactful actions an ally can take is help to do this work [of 'diversifying' university campuses]".

Do your robots fail in new environments, or is it hard to get them to train at all? Happens to the best of us. Mid-level vision provides a scalable way to build in invariances for visual robotics. Check out our project site midlevel.berkeley.edu or chat with us now at CoRL '20!

Did you know that you sleep poorly when you're alone? It's adaptive--to help you wake up if needed. Fmr. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy talks about the epidemic of loneliness in the US. So glad this guy is co-chairing Biden's COVID-19 task force. open.spotify.com/episode/4R3egn…

Why exactly are we still having virtual conferences/workshops on weekends? There is no physical presence that makes a set of contiguous dates more convenient ... why not split workshops/conferences over separate weeks? We'd never expect seminars to be on weekends, why these?

Hi folks, my team at FAIR is growing and has an opening for a recent- or new-grad RS hire. We are working on really cool generative 3D/4D stuff with followup applications to embodied AI/robotics. IMO FAIR will be THE place for robotics in 2 years πŸŽ‰ metacareers.com/jobs/121576786…
