Last week was my 22nd anniversary of being a police officer. Seeing the news, it seems my annual leave was taken at the right time. If you ever get the chance I recommend visiting #Guatemala and its amazing πŸŒ‹

The mental health system is so broken and under funded in this country. This week I've had so many police officers having to stay with people detained under S136 for hours & hours because there are no beds available meaning police couldn't perform their primary duties

Very sad news. Kev coached me at university where we won a BUSA winner medal for Cardiff Metropolitan University (UWIC). He taught me about a different level of rugby to play at. A great man who gave so much to rugby especially the Welsh Rugby Union 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Well today I finally managed to get my first arrest as an Inspector (I didn't count arrests as an acting Inspector before promotion). That said, it was for a FTA warrant who self presented. Not sure if it still counts but I alsondid the full booking in procedure

This week my team were fortunate to have wellbeing dogs from Oscar Kilo spend some time with us after attending a number of distressing incidents recently including child deaths. Looking after each other is important and remember #itsokaytonotbeokay

Refereed an adult football game today. One side had no cards issued to them. The other side had 8 yellow cards & 4 red cards issued and the match had to be abandoned as there weren't enough players left on the pitch. Poor behaviour needs to improve Refsupportuk Berks & Bucks FA

On this basis Dawn Butler βœŠπŸΎπŸ’™ should all doctors and nurses also have to do this due to cases like Lucy Letby and Harold Shipman? Are there any other professions that have seen staff prosecuted we should focus on or just police?

It was the wrong decision but that doesn't make it a poor decision. Only numerous TV replays identified this so you can't expect a referee to see this

Almost a quarter of inspectors are working up to an extra 40 hours a month, mostly unpaid, prompting serious concerns over the mental health and wellbeing of members and the outdated 1994 PNB agreement. Full findings from PFEW's Inspecting Ranks Survey πŸ‘‡
