With IDA 8.x being a dead product: is anyone already working on an open source MachO and dyld shared cache loader plugin? Apple keeps changing the format and for people in MacOS and iOS this is basically the one thing that we need.

You know a company is about to go under when you message Hex-Rays SA about a copy of the IDA 8.4 SDK and their reply is that they cannot find an active license under your email address. The company really became a shadow of itself. Shameful.

I was recently told by Hex-Rays SA support that in February there will be IDA 8.5 while pitching me to rent IDA 9 for half the price for 5 years. At the same time underground sources claim that no work is done on IDA 8 anymore. Let’s see.

To be fair the main reason why I am not using Ghidra is that I am used to the IDA GUI and Ghidra UI is just horrible in comparison.

Can USA give one million from the 500 billion to the NSA so that they can hire someone to make a nice GUI for Ghidra?

Well you can call it a cosmetic problem. But it is the major reason why people use IDA still instead or Ghidra. Exotic archs are not what keeps Hex-Rays SA business running. I would argue that feature wise Ghidra is good good enough for 95% of people using IDA.

Also keep in mind that you can no longer buy IDA anyway. Hex-Rays SA is only renting it out to people from now on. And it will stop working the moment you stop paying the rent.

Last night Hex-Rays SA released an email about the fact that they dramatically increased prices for licenses for far less value and that they are willing to talk about prices with people renewing their licenses. I guess they are already seeing a massive decline in people renewing

Die Idee das man nicht bestimmter Meinung sein darf, weil eine bestimmte Feindgruppe diese Meinung teilt ist letztlich was zur Wiederwahl von Trump geführt hat. Weil das nur dazu führt dass man zwei oder mehr Lager bildet die nicht mehr zu Kompromissen kommen können.

Nachdem was SPD und Grüne heute abgezogen haben ahne ich schlimmes für die Bundestagswahl. Wenn es nicht mehr darum geht Lösungen zu finden, sondern nur noch darum geht gegen die AFD zu sein dann werden mehr und mehr die AFD wählen. 🤷🏻‍♂️

AFD Wahlplakate haben in Köln keine lange Überlebenschance. Wo vor ein paar Stunden noch Plakate hingen liegen die jetzt zerstört auf dem Boden.
