Last night was the final Lower Senior Rounders club of the year (due to Y11 prom and sports prize night). It has been an absolute pleasure to have 40 students attend the club each week. Every student has made a brilliant amount of progress and hopefully had lots of fun too ⚾️💫

We are very proud of more of our u13 rounders players. The girls travelled to Trinity Academy Grammar for a friendly match this evening, thank you for having us. The team spirit and enthusiasm was brilliant to see. Well played girls ⚾️🤩

So privileged to be a part of the sports prize night! Never in my career as a teacher have I come across such a talented bunch of children 🤩 Massive credit to the PE staff, the admiration and genuine thanks from the pupils to you was amazing - well done 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

This morning we finished the academic year with the annual house tug of war competition. After some impressive work from both students and staff, Ramsden were crowned today’s overall champions. Wishing all of our students a wonderful summer holiday ☀️

Our 2023 ‘Team of the Year’ got the fixtures off and running with an outstanding display against All Saints. They moved the ball from defense to attack beautifully, recording a 28-4 victory! Well done girls, a super start to the HGS season! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

A terrific display of Netball from our Year 8 and Year 10 teams this evening, as they were both victorious in their fixture against Colne Valley. Year 8 finished 12-2 and Year 10 finished 25-12! Well done ladies, fantastic work! 😁 Y8 POM: Summa 🏆 Y10 POM: Amber 🏆

It was an action packed night of sport for team HGS this evening, as 3 different teams were in action! We had 9 qualifiers in Prep Cross Country team. Thank you Pennine Partnership ! Our Y11 Netballers made it 3/3 vs Sally Nook and our U15 Girls Footballers battled against Honley! 👏🏼👏🏼

Another night of sport at HGS, this time it was the U15 Boys Football (superb performance to win 5-2), Year 7 Netball (first ever game which ended 2-2) and Year 8 Netballers (narrow loss of 15-11) all at Holmfirth. Well done everyone once again! More Prep fixtures tomorrow!

Superb performance from our Y11 Boys yesterday, who were crowned ISA Sport U16, 8 a side champions! Unbeaten throughout, conceding just 1 all tournament. Well done guys 🏆👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Really proud of our Year 11 girls this week - as well as working hard in their studies, they have won 2 league fixtures, and also taken part in two tournaments. Today was the National Schools tournament, where they played out of their skin. Thanks for hosting Bradford Grammar ☺️

The last fixture of an exhilarating term was played this evening, as the U13 Basketballers (even in their holiday) took part in the Kirklees Tournament, held at Salendine Nook. Outstanding work ethic and resilience. Have the best holiday, you guys absolutely deserve it ☺️

Congratulations to our Y7+8 Athletes, who took part in the Pennine Partnership Indoor Athletics comp. Our students performed brilliantly with our Y8 girls finishing 2nd and Y7 girls crowned CHAMPIONS! Both qualifying for the finals. Well done all! 👏🏼🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️

We could not be prouder of our students today. It was Y11 GCSE PE Moderation day, which saw 12 students moderated, 41 students used, 3 live sports, 1 recorded sport, 2 locations and 1 very happy PE department. Well done all ☺️☺️ ⚽️🏐⛷️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️
