Young People have also been given the opportunity to present abstracts on key issues affecting adolescents and youth, including: 🇺🇬 Perceptions on child marriage in Uganda 🇺🇬 Gaps in HIV prevention, care, and treatment among young people #ADHDialogue

🇺🇬 Legal reforms needed to strengthen Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR) These discussions are part of the ongoing #ADHDialogue, amplifying youth voices in shaping inclusive and responsive policies.

Did you know that girls are four times more likely to contract HIV than boys? Yet, only 10% of health centers in Uganda offer youth-friendly services. In 2014 alone, over a thousand cases of sexual violence were reported against girls but very few ever reached the courts.

This is urgent, communities demand accessible, respectful, and youth centered health services, to ensure that survivors of sexual violence receive justice, and promote comprehensive sexuality education that empowers adolescents with knowledge and confidence.

#ICYMI: UNAIDS projected that by 2030, without an urgent scale-up in prevention & treatment, 21.8 M p'ple could be LWHIV in Eastern & Southern Africa. Now, with funding drying up, this number will only grow — placing communities, health systems, &progress at risk. Via UNAIDS Global
