Thank you Marjorie Swartz, office of Mike McGuire, for a great meeting to discuss how we can End The Epidemics! #etedoa #endtheepidemicsca

Truth đŁ DARE has been counterproductive. Safe sane science driven conversations work and speak words of love and care. đŞ Filter | harm reduction journalism

The US isn't just home to the world's most incarcerated people. Itâs also home to the world's most *formerly* incarcerated peopleâwho are 10 times more likely to be homeless. We can't end the housing crisis until we repair the harms of mass incarceration. nextcity.org/urbanist-news/âŚ

On this Overdose Awareness Day all I have to say is that âawarenessâ canât bring back the people I care about, and it feels perverse to keep asking for âawarenessâ when epidemic overdose deaths have dominated news for years. Be aware of our failure to do anything decent or right.

I wish I had an inspirational comment to add on International Overdose Awareness Day but Ryan Marino is on BlueSky says it best We donât have an overdose awareness problem We have an overdose inaction problem An overdose blame and stigma problem An overdose apathy problem

Nails it! Tehya *support harm reduction* Johnson, NP We donât know where to start with this

đŁ BIG NEWS! The LA Times Editorial Board recommends voting NO on #Prop36, warning that it will revive the war on drugs. Read more from L.A. Times Opinion on why voters should say #NoOnProp36 â¤ľď¸ #StopProp36 #PrisonSpendingScam

Author Raymond Goins on the devastation Prop 36 will bring to Black and Brown communities - reflecting on how it draws from the same racist politics of #3strikes and the #WarOnDrugs #NoOnProp36 siliconvalleydebug.org/stories/prop-3âŚ

The Los Angeles Times Ed Board urges a NO vote on Prop 36: âWe do have a serious drug problem that requires a thoughtful response and enormous resources. Proposition 36 pretends the task can be accomplished on the cheap. It canât. Itâs more illusion than solution.â latimes.com/opinion/story/âŚ
