A reminder that we've seen a Trust allow a death caused by a PA inappropriately performing a procedure to, essentially, be hidden from the coroner via an inappropriate and biased safety investigation. Yet the Care Quality Commission and GMC and police have done nothing.

2 points: Looking back, Osborne's 2010 cuts look even more economically self-destructive than I and others said at the time. The OBR analysis is similar (conceptually/empirically) to my analysis for the TUC at the time: tuc.org.uk/sites/default/…

Looking forward, it would be *incredibly* short-sighted to implement govt's planned cuts to public investment to meet the "debt rule". The OBR's analysis shows beyond doubt what is intuitively obvious - it's lunatic to evaluate investment based on its fiscal impact in 5 years!

Now then NHS England Workforce, Training and Education and AoMRC are all aware of the issues regards FY2 posts and how many are not taking up/ getting training posts More medical students while GMC expands PLAB re IMGs Without ⬆️ of training posts Leadership have lost the plot on workforce. Totally.

Will you remove or keep the wine excise easement after February 2025? This is a simple yes or no question. It not loaded in any way. Now I’m not being funny but a question this simple does not take much time to understand and answer.

Having been heavily involved in publicly calling out NHS England Workforce, Training and Education on this? This does not surprise me And I repeat again Any work related to NHS England workforce is showing utter chaos & a general mess Leadership needs accountability And there seems to be none. Goodness.

🚨 If you haven’t secured Oasis tickets then don’t panic, and certainly don’t buy on unofficial sites such as Viagogo & StubHub as these tickets will be cancelled. Twickets will have tickets available soon. Register to receive our newsletter and we’ll let you know.

This is stupefyingly ignorant and financially illiterate. Other than between 2022-2024, LA’s had to hand over 20-25% of the already heavily discounted receipts to government. Conservatives ended the 2Y policy in the Spring ‘24 budget.

Thanks to Peter Apps for shining a light on the State, industry & vested interests who all tried hard to slip back into the shadows as the #Grenfell enquiry searched for answers. Top class journalism. Well worth a follow.

‘Good news’ ~ NHS Board finally discusses GPs Bad news ~ they don’t know whether the things they have implemented have helped patients & GPs The answer ~ they have NOT helped Reminder ~ top down approach costs more & isn’t working 20% cut in GP funding £/patient ~ worse for all
