The Pathfinders have been writing for reflection this term. They have produced some wonderful diary pieces from the perspective of, “The Ugly Duckling”. We are extremely proud of the commitment, creativity and total resilience demonstrated during this task! Amazing work!

Our Navigators have been experimenting with wet-on-wet watercolour techniques today — exploring how colours blend and flow! They’re getting ready to use their new skills to create beautiful paintings of the moon.

Our Navigators completed their ‘wet-on-wet’ watercolour paintings of the moon this week, before moving on to their powder paint work. They explored hues, shades and tones, practised their colour mixing, and finished by creating striking paintings of the Sun☀️🎨

Our Navigators took part in a range of activities for Anti-Bullying Week and especially loved the ‘Compliment Catchers’ task in class. Most importantly, they learned that we all have the ‘power for good’ and can make a positive change. 💙 #antibullyingweek

This week, our Navigators have been finishing their biographies based on the space explorers who inspired them most. They’ve shown fantastic stamina and determination throughout the unit. We’re so proud of the brilliant writing they’ve produced — it’s truly out of this world! 🚀

Pathfinders had an amazing time in PE this afternoon! 🎉 We kicked things off with a lively game of Shadows 🌟, followed by an exciting bean-bag pairs challenge. The smiles were huge 😄, the energy was high ⚡, and the fun was absolutely infectious! Fantastic work! 👏💙

Over the last two days, our super hardworking Year 2 mathematicians have been practising adding numbers across 10 with exchanges, which can be a tough skill, but they’ve shown amazing determination and confidence. 💪🧠 Keep shining brightly, superstars! ⭐💛

This afternoon, Pathfinders launched into their brand-new topic: Come Fly With Me – The Arctic Circle! We began with a chilly ice-cube challenge-how could we stop our ice cube from melting? We eventually discovered that the colder the ice cube, the slower it melted! 🧊

Today, Pathfinders class took part in a wonderful workshop focused on the Arctic- the people, the climate, the animals and their habitats! We learnt so much and had so much fun using role play, games and our imaginations to help us along the way! 🐧❄️🌎🐧 One Day Creative

After an unforgettable morning of Arctic themed adventures, Pathfinders spent the afternoon learning about internet safety with One Day Creative! This included learning SIFT: S – Stop, I – Investigate, F – Find out more and T– Tell a trusted adult. Amazing learning for life! ⭐️

❄️ A very proud teacher this evening! Pathfinders have been working extremely hard to create winter themed acrostic poems! I just had to take the opportunity show off the beautiful work produced. 🩵🤍🩵

An extremely productive afternoon during which Pathfinders investigated the Arctic climate and the impact this has on the environment. I wonder if your little Pathfinder can explain the meaning of the ‘polar night’ and the ‘midnight sun’? 🩵❄️⛄️
