People often respond to proposals to turn road apace back to people space with anger at the change, yet so many places around the world that we now take for granted went through this transition. One case in point: Washington Square in NYC. Please share your examples!

I don’t think y’all will ever understand how annoyed I am that this ice cream truck is blocking the view of this installation… The Oval 👀

Bike South Brooklyn! NYC DOT Isn’t it also just utterly bonkers that a few feet away, DOT doesn’t even bother to do a ‘use sidewalk’ sign. The #bikenyc lane dead ends & novice riders think they’re supposed to play chicken w/ highway speed cars & a bus. Some of the least thought out recent design I’ve seen.

Been taking SEPTA regularly since high school (99-2003) and never seen so much smoking. It’s everywhere. Pretty much every platform I’m on. Every time I take the train now. I’m just so curious why so many have just given up on this common curiosity. It’s sad more than anything.

The PPA put a FB post up recently about job openings and it went about as well as you’d expect in Philly. Also, that PPA worker on the left knows things. The expression on his face is priceless. And the guy on the right is the Philly version of Robert De Niro.

“#DrivingEquality can help close racial disparities in traffic stops. Also it’s another important step toward police reform & building trust between police & the community at time when cooperation is needed to reduce the city’s epidemic of violent crime.” phillytrib.com/police-union-s…

I turned 38 this month and have been stopped by police more times than I can count. I fit the description. Together, especially with communities most affected, we need to be serious about public safety.

If you’re not looking up when you’re at an intersection Philly, you might be missing some really cool street art! Let me show you:

Unexpected public art like this would be a very fun solution for traffic calming in certain areas! And the artwork could change seasonally supporting local artists. P.s. The area all around here is so dangerous for pedestrians. We have to slow the cars down.
