On November 20th, director Sonita Gale will take part in The King Alfred School's sold out “Inside the Industry: Working in Film” panel to help young filmmakers connect with industry professionals. We look forward to meeting the next generation of filmmakers and storytellers!
In October, Film Oxford screened Hostile for students at the BFI Film Academy, including a Q&A with director Sonita Gale. The event was part of a course to help train and inspire the next generation of UK filmmakers.
2025 started with a bang, after Hostile screened for students Liverpool John Moores University and the ‘From the Roots Up Society’ University of Oxford We look forward to Hostile being shown in education settings in the coming months, as our Impact Campaign continues!
On February 28th, Hostile screened for students at the Department of International Development (@odid_qeh) at University of Oxford, with a Q&A with Director Sonita Gale. The event was part of a series of arts-based initiatives for students getting the Migration Studies degree.
We are thrilled to have seen such a strong start to Hostile Impact Campaign screening this month, where the film screened to students at Keele University 🐿️ , Loughborough University , and University of Gloucestershire We look forward to a busy month ahead in the run up to Refugee Week 2025!
Last week Hostile screened Phillips Exeter, Cumberland Sanctuary Network, and University of Hertfordshire. Interest in the film continues to skyrocket in the run up to Refugee Week 2025, and we are glad the film continues to be used to raise awareness of migrant issues.
