St Andrew, Scotland's patron saint, will be celebrated across the Scottish diaspora on Saturday. Stuart Paterson wrote about Scotland's unique identity (gallus self) in his fantastic poem, "Sanctified". Paterson penned this work when he was BBC Scotland's poet-in-residence in 2017.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Gavin Sprott. As a young curator, he was a role model. Intelligent, gracious, funny. Pride and Passion, which he co-produced in 1996, remains one of my favourite exhibitions on Burns. Thank you, Gavin
