Former Holy Rood RC HS pupil Ruth Quill talked with the Higher Psychology pupils today about studying Psychology at Uni, life at University of St Andrews and how to thrive in their next stage of life. What a star!

Mrs Jackson’s S1 class have been working towards their John Muir Award. Last week, we went on a walk in our amazing school grounds and collected some fallen leaves. This week, we made leaf rubbings and identified the types of trees they were from.

Today S3 pupils were practicing media literacy and learning about the role of the media to explain by analysing ⁦Ros Atkins⁩ videos on recent events.

Today we were joined by Ros Atkins and Josie Verghese from BBC Young Reporter to talk to us about the role of the media in a democracy, their career journeys and top tips for aspiring journalists. An amazing opportunity, and we all learned a lot!

Well, this was a real honour. In December, a teacher Holy Rood Modern in Edinburgh tweeted a picture from a class showing one of our explainers. A few DMs later and I got to talk with the students today. Please have me back and best of luck with your studies.

Our Senior Criminology class today had an insightful visit from our Campus PC Hughes. They asked insightful questions and learned vital information about the various roles within the police, processing crime scenes and keeping the public safe.
