Our 8th graders spent the day serving at Mary Help of Christians. Mia C. shared, "My favorite part was working on the farm. We finished a month's worth of work in a day, and it felt great to help out!” The experience reinforced the importance of putting our faith into action!

AHN’s HS gathered for Mass for the Feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary. We honor Mary’s name, recognizing her as the Mother of God, Queen of heaven and earth, and Mother of Mercy. We are grateful for Fr. Michael Owen’s message during his first time at AHN to celebrate Mass.

Our 7th graders came together for a special retreat centered on the love and relationship of the Holy Trinity. Through scripture, Peer Minister testimonies, and group activities, they discovered how the perfect community always works for the good of others.

Our 7th graders brewed up some fun with a “Starbooks” book tasting! The Commons transformed into a café where they explored new genres and found the perfect blend. ☕📚

We welcomed back Blakely Byrd ’19 and her mom, Mary Beth Byrd ’87! Blakely shared with juniors and seniors how her AHN education shaped her confidence and prepared her for the future. 9th and 10th graders heard from Kameron Talley, USF’s Health Promotion & Well-Being Coordinator.

AHN kicked off National Hispanic Heritage Month w/ an assembly & convocation! The event celebrated the rich cultural contributions of the Hispanic community through student performances, song, dance, prayer, trivia, & our guest speaker, Janet Claire Trapuzzano ’98.

Due to Tropical Storm Helene, AHN will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 26, & Friday, Sept. 27. We anticipate that we will resume all normal operations on Monday, Sep. 30. We will continue to update our community via text message, email, & social media as info becomes available.

Today, our 5th graders put their faith into action with service-learning trips focusing on caring for the poor and food insecurity. They made 10,800 meals and bagged 12,900 pounds of food at Feeding Tampa Bay, and helped serve 130 families at Community Food Pantry.

Last night, our AHN community came together for our annual Spike & Splash fundraiser event. Our JV & Varsity volleyball teams faced off against CDS, while our swimming & diving team, alongside Jesuit, took on Plant High in an awesome night of competition and community spirit.

AHN is helping support St. John Vianney Catholic School in St. Petersburg, which suffered a total loss from Hurricane Helene. We're collecting new school supplies through Oct. 9, during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Join us in making a difference!

College Board named AHN the AP School Honor Roll w/ PLATINUM distinction, for broadening access & achieving strong results in AP coursework. AHN also received the 2024 AP Access Award for ensuring a students have equal access to AP courses.

The MS Student Advisory Board and PRIDE Team hosted a faith-filled pep rally this morning to kick off Rose Week Celebrations!! The students learned about our foundress, Blessed Marie Rose, sang worship songs, and cheered on their teachers in minute-to-win-it games!

Hearts were filled with humility and gratitude this morning as AHN families and employees helped elderly neighbors in the community continue to vacate their homes flooded by the hurricane. Our presence and service was truly a sign of God’s providence for others.

Due to the anticipated impacts of Hurricane Milton and the Academy’s waterfront location within Evacuation Zone A, we have made the decision to close the Academy this week, from Monday, October 7 through Friday, October 11.

AHN alum Camille Yodzis ’16 from BayCare Kids Wellness taught our classes all about nutrition & the importance of staying active, while also showing the power of proper hand washing, watching their “pretend germs” vanish in a special glow light activity!
