Did you know how Viking rule transformed Dublin? Dublin became a commercial & political hub during the Viking Age. Thanks for an inspiring lecture by Professor Alex Woolf of University of St Andrews. 🇳🇴 proud to partner with NUI & Dublin City Council for this Dublin Festival of History event.

Delighted to go on this tour by Seán Deegan ('In the shadow of Croker' walking tours) as part of Dublin Festival of History on Saturday. A really insightful look on 1913-23 period across Ballybough, Marino and Fairview: particular highlight being Tom and Kathleen Clarke's former home. Highly recommended! #HistFest24

The Polis, the Dublin Metropolitan Police force, was absorbed into Garda Info on this day 100 years ago. This event on Saturday, in the Castle, is a great chance to hear a bit about policing in the City in the early 20th century.
