Horrifying. Florida passes HB1521. It bans trans people from bathrooms and forces them to leave if cis people point them out. Connecting flight in Florida? Convention? On Vacation? Visiting family? Trans people can come under arrest for using the bathroom. It goes to the gov.

As if Florida wasn’t going far enough with the bathroom ban, they just passed SB254, which bans gender affirming care for trans youth, allow noncustodial parents to get custody to detransition them, and severely curtails adult care. I hurt for trans people in Florida.

Ron DeSantis just signed into law a GOP-backed ban on medical care for transgender youth. DeSantis and Florida Republicans went a step further, also requiring transgender ADULTS to obtain written consent from two oversight boards whose members are appointed by DeSantis.
