Here's me and my Grandad. His family — and my Grandma’s — came over from Ireland. He served in the RAF. Both of them trained as nurses, helping build the NHS. I'm the granddaughter of immigrants. Stories like theirs are part of our national story. I'll never forget that.

Shipbuilding on the Clyde secured for a generation by Labour. Shipbuilding isn’t just a proud part of Scotland’s industrial past - it’s a key part of our bright industrial future. Now we need a Scottish government that aligns industrial opportunities with our skills system.

Calling for a British Muslim woman to be deported is appalling and unacceptable. Shame on you Calgie. You should apologise now. This only serves to inflame division and intolerance. x.com/zarahsultana/s…

💷 The SNP came to power promising to scrap the council tax. That never happened. 20 years after that broken promise services are underfunded and 100,000 fewer households are getting help with their council tax bills.

1 in 4 violent crimes committed in Scotland last year happened in a school. That’s horrifying. We need a Scottish government that gets a grip on this crisis. After 20 years the SNP don’t have the ideas or the energy to do it, a Scottish Labour government will.

This all took place in Scotland. Data obtained by Channel 4 News shows that Scotland has the highest rate of violent injuries to school staff in the last 10 years.

Scotland is getting record investment from a UK Labour Government, but the SNP’s mismanagement means services are still in decline. So today in the Commons I asked a straightforward question: “Where has the money gone John?

Speaking BBC Andrew Kerr BBC Scotland News about the failure of the SNP Scottish Government on defence skills and the opportunities lost for young people. Scotland can't afford a third decade of the SNP. We need a Scottish Labour government and Anas Sarwar as First Minister.

John Swinney went against the professional judgement of teachers and decided he knew better - if you were bright and from a working class background John Swinney simply didn’t believe you could get the grades you earned.

After 18 years the SNP can only offer sticking plaster solutions to the NHS waiting time crisis. Next May we can give the SNP a third decade in power,or elect a Scottish Labour government that will get the basics right and focus on the day job.

I asked Dr Dr Zubir Ahmed MP for a minute of his time to discuss a constituency matter. He said he’d call me when he could. The call: taken in-between actual surgery cases Find me a more dedicated Minister than this!

If you’re working and have kids under 12, you should be entitled to something called Tax-Free Childcare. For every £8 you pay towards childcare, the UK Labour government adds £2. It doesn’t impact your free hours either - it’s on top of that.

We can’t risk a third decade of the SNP. On their watch, someone has been stuck on an NHS waiting list since 2018. That’s: 7 years. 6 Prime Ministers. 3 First Ministers. A new King. A new Pope. Still no treatment. dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/…

A mosque I have been attending since 1984 subjected to the racism that we thought had been binned in the 80s. To the Scottish Muslims working in our NHS and public services and contributing to all walks of life, hold your heads high. It's our country. We're not going anywhere.
