Attending this years Design + Diversity conference we had the privilege to take part in the mind opening workshop on "product behavioral design" lead by the Canadian designer Elsawy Yehia. In short, #behavioraldesign aims for nudging desirable human behavioral change by #design.
1/2 - One of the most impressive talks at this year's Design + Diversity in our opinion was given by #designer John B Johnson who claims himself as an Identity Architect. In our daily work we deal a lot with creating #identity in relation of #brands, #products and #people.
2/2 - John B Johnson goes radically to the roots of the individual #identity and he quoted "A lack of #Diversity = A lack of #Perspectives" since there are 7.8 billion individual human views on the world, living together on earth. We should #listen to them and win perspectives.
1/3 Attending this year’s Design + Diversity conference triggered a very interesting yet important question which we discussed in our #team. How about being #design educated in a culturally biased #framework which does not necessarily identify with your personal #cultural life?
2/3 At Design + Diversity conference, PoC designer and design educator Project Naptural and friends discussed the moment when they realized that in their own design education they were discovering their own specific aesthetics and #designculture.
3/3 Please feel inspired to grab this trigger and join us thinking about the values and challenges of #diversity in #design. If you want to dive deeper into the work of Project Naptural, we highly recommend you to visit her #exhibition "umbra": umbraexhibit.com
We are part of DigitaleWocheKiel! 🌊 With her workshop "#Homeoffice eats #corporateculture for breakfast", our COO Sandra addresses the question of the extent to which new #digital forms of work influence our corporate culture and thus ultimately the success of the company. #diwokiel21
