I know now is the time of the year you humans go shopping for gifts to give to one another. My friends here at the Museum have a store for that you should check out. There's lots of interesting things in there. Plus, there's a picture of me on the window! floridashistoryshop.com

Check out this look behind the scenes here at the Museum. I know these folks as the people who take care of me and make my habitat look cool and interesting. It looks like they spend time doing other things as well... facebook.com/TallahasseeArt…

My Museum friends tell me that the exhibit on the other side of the Museum is ending this weekend, so you should go see it if you haven't yet. And you can come see me as well.

My friends at the State Archives of Florida shared these pics from Florida Memory of a horror classic filmed locally 68 years ago. Just saying, IMO this guy is not the coolest creature ever found in Wakulla Springs... Learn more about these pics here: facebook.com/museumofflorid…

More Archaeologists at work today & tomorrow over at Mission San Luis. Go by & check them out. They're looking for traces of the Camino Real, a road which connected San Luis Apalachee with St. Augustine. Way after my time though... instagram.com/p/CbbJNpprPKD/… facebook.com/events/2754632…

Today is Manatee Appreciation Day. I met a lot of manatees when I used to live at Wakulla Springs. Learn more about them and Guy LaBree, the artist who created this painting, here: facebook.com/museumofflorid…

I'm excited for the 39th annual Children's Day this Saturday. Kids have loved coming to see me since the Museum opened in 1977. Look at that, 35 years ago and I don't look a day older—still as handsome as ever! Hope to see everyone on Saturday.

It’s Star Wars Day. Did you know that movie came out the same year I came to live here at the Museum? We have a poster of it over in Grandma’s Attic. I would have made a great Jedi. May the 4th be with you!

When I lived at Wakulla Spring, some of my friends were fish. Perhaps you've heard of Henry, the pole vaulting fish? He was a favorite on the glass-bottom boat tours. Nice guy. If you're a fan of fish or fishing, come check out our newest exhibit, The Lure of Florida Fishing

You know, I think I may have seen a mermaid or 2 back when I lived at Wakulla Springs, but it was a long time ago, so I might be mistaken. Or maybe I'm thinking of a manatee? Anyway kids, hope to see you at the Summer Reading Program this week! facebook.com/events/1097725…
