Hail Constantine! In 306, Constantine the Great was declared Emperor in York. From here, he began a long journey that would eventually change the face of religion in the Roman Empire.

🌿 How can archaeology help wellbeing? It isn’t just about uncovering the past, it’s about how we connect to it. Whether it’s through exploring, handling artefacts, or sharing stories, archaeology offers a unique way to slow down, reflect, and feel part of something bigger.

There's no evidence that the Isle of Man was a British Kingdom in 792. It was still dominated by Irish and Welsh interests until Vikings settled in the 9th century. Much raided by everyone of course and lots of short term control. Not aligned with England till 1200's and later.
