Driving back from the National now. One big takeaway from the show-, as much as I thought it was a one off novelty- I think the Bo Jackson Battle Arena stuff, that brings together a TCG and sports in a way that allows for collectibility with autos and SSPs, is legit.

I know, I get it, you'll see this tweet and be like, WTH is that. Stay with me. I think there is something here. Crossover between sports cards and the TCG space. Example: the art style on the SP Blizzard Foil from the Bo Jackson Battle Arena Alpha sets- so clean.

Little more National content. One of the coolest cases at the show. Nearly every single sealed vintage pack of hockey in fantastic condition. Spent an hour here just talking through the history and the ongoing hunt. 53 Parkhurst in the middle. $50K asking price. 😳

Another takeaway from the National. Upper Deck is cooked. Just a rehashed booth with nothing going for it, no excitement, terrible promos (a “special” box of Goodwin Champions with a card /50 for $125 and it wasn’t even advertised, you had to ask), the list goes on.
