High Commissioner for Refugees Barham Salih has arrived in Chad 🇹🇩, as the country continues to host refugees displaced by the ongoing conflict in Sudan. Today he held meetings with Chadian authorities and will spend time engaging with refugees, host communities and partners.

In Adre, at the Chadian border, I met Sudanese refugees who just fled the horrors of war at home. UNHCR is playing a crucial role here, ensuring people find safety and protection, shelter and other vital assistance. But it is far from enough, given the scale of this calamity.
