First trip to London since March. (Inset day treat.) Amazing deserted wander through National Gallery with impressionist galleries to ourselves. Felt very special, but also very sad.

Took an afternoon off for lunch in a local cafe and a pre-lockdown walk Clumber Park, National Trust . Booked before I realised parks could stay open. But it was a little oasis of calm and certainly not an afternoon wasted.

Does anyone know any Welsh historians/museums/academics who might be interested in doing a zoom talk for the Cynon Valley History Society? We are taking the leap to move online for the next season. Please DM me if you're interested...

I am not usually one for crafting. But a kind neighbour on our lovely street organised a collaborative textile project for lockdown 2 and I’m quite pleased with my contribution.

Just under a week left to apply for this new role with the CBA. I’m moving on early next year and this role is an evolution of the work I’ve been doing. Great colleagues and a fantastic time to join.

Today was my last day ArchaeologyUK I’m proud of the work we’ve done, excited about the next chapter for the CBA and for me, sad at saying goodbye to such lovely colleagues and really wishing I could have a proper leaving do!
