Amazon has haptic feedback in their app if you add something to basket. Trying hard to find information on which haptics benefit users on e-commerce platforms. What is good "haptic best practice"? If we add haptics to certain actions does that improve accessibility? #a11y

Did a 'pilot' run through of a process for documenting the non visual experience this afternoon. By spending a few minutes discussing announced content we could clearly see easy ways to improve the comprehension of several elements. Adding this to our kit bag. #inclusivedesign

An ice cream van, but at lunchtimes, selling sandwiches/baguettes/salads to office workers that now work from home, so you don't have to pop out to the shops to get lunch. why is no one doing that!

My first day at JustGiving, There was a little hamper on my desk with branded notebooks, pencils, pens, information about the company, the local area, and haribos to share with my new team to make friends. Such a great onboarding experience.

This is such an interesting thread, and really like one of the comments that mentions that you are able to recruit a more diverse participant group via remote testing. Was remote testing for a couple of years pre-covid for this reason.

I am really looking forward to this event. The design community talks about racism in design far less than it talks about and advocates for accessible design, but inclusive/diverse design needs to encompass both (and more)

When we fail to research with disabled people at the beginning of our process, we embed problems into our systems from the outset that become harder and harder to overcome.

What have been your best onboarding experiences in to a new company, particularly if that company is working remotely? #ux #ui #design

💯! For the last 6 months at Wiggle, we've been working on documenting the non visual design experience, providing all designs with annotations for accessibility, as part of the design handover to dev.

Loving Figma in app audio chat. We hadn't used it before it's great for collaboration and made an afternoon of brand concepting enjoyable and productive.

Someone just told me about Miro "projects" as a way to group boards. How did I never notice this before? This is going to make my life so much easier. Happy Friday! Off to make my boards easier to discover by grouping them together.

I think a lot of designers backed Figma in the early days because it wasn’t Adobe. So I suspect a lot of designers are feeling slightly let down and betrayed about now.
