Machete sales to be banned in Victoria from midday of WEDNESDAY this wk.

“We have moved immediately to further strengthen our Australia-first machete ban” with an interim ban on sales kicking off on Wednesday at midday to “choke off the supply.” No sales. No exemptions. Original amnesty to still start Sept 1.

There was $13m in last week’s budget for the machete ban. Some of that us to put special locked boxes at 40 24hour police stations around the country.
