An honour to attend the annual Airborne Memorial Service at magnificent Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery on the 81st anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem. Remembering all those who served & fell and will forever be honoured here in Oosterbeek UK in NLπ¬π§π³π± Commonwealth War Graves TheParachuteRegiment π¬π§ π³π± π΅π±
It was an honour to join the morning service at the Oude Kerk Oosterbeek ahead of the annual Airborne Memorial Service. And to join the ter Horst family, the local community and TheParachuteRegiment - UK in NLπ¬π§π³π± π¬π§ π³π±

As life member of the Arnhem Fellowship, proud to see all they do to not only share knowledge of the Battle of Arnhem but also to honour those who served. At the Airborne Memorial Service, a relic from a Horsa glider was given to TheParachuteRegiment Colonel Commandant UK in NLπ¬π§π³π± π¬π§ π³π±
The day after the Airborne Memorial Service in Oosterbeek, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Joint Committee for the Netherlands gathered at Westduin cemetery to recommit to supporting work of the Commonwealth War Graves and Oorlogsgravenstichting in maintaining war graves & memorials around the country.
On 25 September, the local community of #Oosterbeek take part in the White Ribbon Silent March, retracing the steps taken by British airborne forces as they withdrew across the river after the Battle of Arnhem. Always an honour to join them. #OperationBerlin UK in NLπ¬π§π³π± π¬π§ π³π± π΅π±
