I was honoured to have the opportunity to speak with Her Majesty about the work we do in NHS Forth Valley and the impact of the wash bags supplied by In Kind Direct the charity Her Majesty supports.

Representatives of SARCS, a dedicated NHS Scotland service for people who have experienced recent rape or sexual assault, were among those who met Her Majesty The Queen at Buckingham Palace. The Queen thanked those who work to support people who access this vital service.

Over the #16Days we will be exploring #myths around #Strangulation. Strangulation does not always leave marks. Despite what you see in tv series, movies, video games & hear in music. Just because a victim/ survivor has no marks does not mean they haven't been strangled.

Myth 2 that we hear often is that significant pressure needs to be applied for strangulation to be harmful. This is not correct. An average male handshake is 80 to 100 PSI and it takes only on 4 PSI to block main veins on a neck. #16Days
