Why am I celebrating Maternal Health Awareness Day today, January 23? Because as an #obgyn, I know that 60% of maternal deaths are preventable, and that we can and must do better. Join me and #ACOG at #123ForMoms! #MaternalHealthAwarenessDay #maternalhealth #womenshealth

In 2015, the #MaternalMortalityRate in the #US was 26.4 deaths per 100,000 live births, the highest of any resource-rich country. And while 49 other countries reported lower maternal mortality rates, ours continues to rise. #MaternalHealthAwarenessDay #123forMOMS ACOG Action

At a meeting today and overheard "Inconceivable!" Anyone else also automatically think, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
