Cutting PIP and disability benefits won’t help us into work, it will push us into poverty. We’re not the problem. The broken system is. We deserve support, not cuts. #TakingThePIP Inclusion London

The real crisis isn’t the cost of social security, it’s rising poverty, collapsing services, and a government scapegoating Disabled people instead of fixing structural inequality. We’re not the problem. We’re surviving a broken system. #TakingThePIP Inclusion London

Disabled people are part of society. We are workers, parents, community leaders, taxpayers, voters. We are not a burden. We are not invisible. We will not be erased. #TakingThePIP #DisabilityRights #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs Inclusion London

Svetlana Kotova, director of campaigns and justice at Inclusion London, said: “We are extremely concerned about the devastating impact that losing PIP will have on disabled people’s housing.” disabilitynewsservice.com/benefit-cap-co…

The proposed changes to PIP are insulting. Cutting support from Disabled people to “save money” isn’t the change we need, it’s cruelty dressed up as policy. We don’t need reassessments. We need respect, and justice. This government is #TakingThePIP Inclusion London

Grenfell silent walk 8th anniversary. Join us at 6pm, Sat 14 June, to remember the 72 people that died at Grenfell. We want Disabled people to attend to highlight the need for Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) as recommended by the Grenfell Inquiry. Inclusion London

Honoured to attend Commissioner Andy Roe’s leaving celebration at the London Fire Brigade Community Forum this week. Grateful for his commitment to amplifying the voices of Disabled Londoners & enabling us to scrutinise and hold the LFB to account. Inclusion London

This morning, members of Inclusion London are heading to City Hall as a motion we helped write, calling for a Disability Equality Champion, is presented again. Originally passed unanimously in Sept 2024, we await today’s result from the London Assembly. #DisabilityJustice

There are 1.2 million disabled Londoners - and no disability champion at City Hall, despite the London Assembly backing the idea unanimously 9 months ago. So today I'm here with Inclusion London Bromley Experts by Experience (X by X Bromley) Ruils calling on the Mayor to get on with it! bit.ly/41iaC1Z

We are at City Hall today with our other London Loo Alliance members for the London Assembly Plenary meeting as they discuss health inequalities. We are looking forward to pushing the issue of public toilet provision further up the agenda 🚽

We're delighted that the London Assembly have once again passed a motion calling for a #DisabilityEqualityChampion! 🥳 Huge thanks to Gareth Roberts for presenting the motion and to Hina Bokhari OBE AM 🔶 for seconding it.
