Wilbert Awdry, the author of the 'Thomas the Tank Engine' books was born 15 June 1911 at #Ampfield. In the late 1930s he served as curate at #Odiham. WFSA holds an oral history interview with Reverend Awdry, recorded in 1989, (AV304/1/S1) #hampshirearchives #Railway200
