Good afternoon! Though the heat is building with temperatures reaching 90 degrees in many places, we turn our attention to flood potential arriving late this week. A weak cold front arrives late tomorrow or into early Friday with storms capable of heavy rainfall. #INwx

It's going to be hot today! Opt for light-colored clothing and try to stay indoors whenever you can. If you must be outside, remember to hydrate frequently and take regular breaks in the shade. It's a good idea to check on those who may not have air conditioning. Have a safe day!

Today's outdoor warning siren test (07/25) has been canceled. The system's audible test is canceled on days when weather conditions may cause it to be mistaken for an actual warning. This is done to avoid confusion or undue concern.

Earlier today a hazardous materials incident took place in Noblesville, leading to a warning for residents to remain indoors. While you've seen similar alerts before, it's a great opportunity to clarify the meanings of terms like "evacuate," "shelter in place," & "avoid the area"

If you have to be out on the roads soon, use extreme caution. The rain is coming down very fast, decreasing visibility, and causing water to pond in the streets. Slow down and take your time to arrive safely. If possible, delay your trip until the rain has passed.
